Faculty of Law and Economics
The Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Bonn includes the Department of Law and the Department of Economics. They are linked by joint programs and projects in teaching and research.The faculty has 77 professors, 290 employees and over 6900 students.
A long tradition of excellent teaching and research characterizes the faculty. Studying at this faculty enables students to develop their potential and opens up various career paths in science, politics, business, and social institutions. Through its research, the faculty participates in many important social debates at home and abroad and develops solutions for legal and economic policy problems. It cooperates with many national and international partners and partner institutions.
Research at the Faculty is supported by renowned third-party funding bodies such as the German Research Foundation, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, and the European Research Council. Researchers at the Faculty are involved in the Clusters of Excellence "ECONtribute: Markets and Public Policy" and "Hausdorff Center for Mathematics" as well as the Collaborative Research Center "Economic Perspectives on Societal Challenges".
